Anne-Marie Kermarrec

Anne-Marie Kermarrec is a Full Professor at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland), where she leads the Scalable Computing Systems Laboratory and also serves as Associate Vice-President for Doctoral and Lifelong Education. Before joining EPFL in 2020, she was a Research Director at Inria (France) and founded the startup Mediego, which provides content personalization services for online publishers. She received her PhD from the University of Rennes 1 and previously held positions at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Microsoft Research Cambridge. Her research interests include large-scale distributed systems, epidemic algorithms, peer-to-peer networks, and system support for machine learning. She is an ACM Fellow, a member of Academia Europaea, and a member of the French Academy of Sciences.
