Dalvan Griebler

Dalvan Griebler is an Associate Professor and Computer Scientist at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). He obtained a PhD in Computer Science from PUCRS and the University of Pisa (UNIPI) in 2016. He coordinates the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CIACD), the Natural Language Processing (NLP) group, and the parallel application modeling group (GMAP). He supervises Master's and Doctoral students in the Computer Science Graduate Program (PPG-CC) and the Ecology and Evolution of Biodiversity Graduate Program (PPG-EEB). He develops research projects with industry partners (SAP, HPE, HP, Petrobras, and DELL) and government agencies (Finep, FAPERGS, CAPES, and CNPq). In the academic community, he serves on the editorial boards of the scientific journals IJNDC (Springer), IJPP (Springer), Supercomputing (Springer), IJCA (Taylor Francis), and SCPE (Universitatea de Vest), on technical committees for conference programs, and as a reviewer for scientific journals from Elsevier, IEEE, ACM, Springer, and Wiley. He is also a member of the Special Committee on Programming Languages (CELP) and the executive committee of the Southern Region High-Performance Computing Commission (CRAD/RS) at the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). His research interests include: parallel computing; data stream analysis and processing; data science; artificial intelligence; natural language processing; programming languages; domain-specific languages; compilers; parallel application modeling; cloud computing; autonomous and self-adaptive systems.
